Cookie policy

Only what Qyskul needs to work, plus analytics on this website if you say yes. No advertising, ever.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Websites also keep small settings on your device in similar ways (“local storage”). This page covers both.
2. Essential cookies
These make Qyskul work, for example keeping you signed in. They can't be switched off, and the law doesn't require consent for them. On secure (https) addresses their names start with __Secure-.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| better-auth.session_token | Keeps you signed in to your school or the console. | Until you sign out, up to 7 days |
| better-auth.two_factor | Remembers a sign-in while you enter your two-factor code. | A few minutes |
| sidebar_state | Remembers whether you opened or closed the menu in the app. | 7 days |
3. Settings kept on your device
These stay on your device and aren't sent to us with every visit. They only make the app more convenient.
| Name | What it does |
|---|---|
| theme | Light or dark mode, as you chose. |
| qyskul:cookie-consent | Your choice about analytics cookies, so we don't ask again. |
| qyskul:install-dismissed | That you closed the “install the app” tip. |
| Table columns | Which columns you chose to show in lists. |
| Test answers | Your answers during a CBT test, so nothing is lost if the connection drops. Cleared when you finish. |
4. Analytics cookies (only if you agree)
On this public website, and only if you click “Accept analytics”, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages help schools most. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_… that last up to 2 years, with IP addresses shortened. We never use analytics inside schools' apps, and we never use advertising cookies.
5. Controlling cookies
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings. If you block essential cookies you won't be able to sign in. Read how we handle personal data in our Privacy policy.
